This bridge used to connect the
USS Carrie Blast Furnaces on the north bank with the USS Homestead Works on the south bank.

THe P&LE Bridge is in the foreground, Homestead Works are on the right and the Carrie Blast Furnaces are on the left. The now abandoned RR bridge at the east end of Homestead Works was the Union RR Hot Metal Bridge. |
